About us
The Quantitative MR Imaging Science Lab (QIS) develops new methods to extract quantitative information from MRI. Our research focuses on turning MR signals into robust and reproducible measurements of tissue properties, and on translating these methods across different organs, field strengths, and clinical applications.
Our lab is hosted by the Department of Radiology (DIPR) at Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, and the University of Bern.
We are located at the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine and are part of the Translational Imaging Center. Our work is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together MR physics and engineering with clinical research, and we collaborate closely with clinicians, academic researchers, and industry partners.
