Hi, my name is Melina Gilsing and I am a Master student at QIS LAB.

I completed my Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering at the ZHAW in Winterthur with a specialization in Medical Technology. Now I am enrolled in the Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bern. My focus is on Image Guided Therapy, a field that interests me due to it forming an intersection between medical imaging, robotics, and machine learning.

As my Master thesis, I will train a neural network to recover image quality of accelerated 3D phase-cycled bSSFP MRI and implement this technique on a clinical MRI system. I am looking forward to this challenge and improving my knowledge in this field
