About us
The Quantitative MR Imaging Science Lab (QIS) is headed by Prof. Jessica Bastiaansen. Our lab is part of the Department of Radiology (DIPR) at the University Hospital of Bern (Inselspital) and affiliated to the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research of the University of Bern.
We aim to find creative ways to obtain novel quantitative information using MRI. To this end, we develop technology for a variety of applications, going literally from head to toe, and for a variety of magnetic field strengths, from 1.5T to 7T.
Our lab is physically located in the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine and is part of the Translational Imaging Center. We work in close collaboration with clinicians as well as scientists from industry.
